Art and creative expression that created greater accessibility, agency, and advocacy held a transformative place in the Summer event series, UPROOT: BIPOC Visions of Our Food System.

The art call was open to North Carolina-based BIPOC artists and asked the question:
“To cultivate a more equitable food system, what seeds would you sow?”

ARTWORK FROM UPROOT: BIPOC VISIONS OF OUR FOOD SYSTEM

We thank all of the immensely talented artists who were involved in this art exhibition.

We appreciate all who were inspired by this exhibition to embrace artistic expression as a modality for healing and transformation.

We look forward to more conversations that acknowledge equitable paths and practices around the food system for EVERYONE as we are ALL impacted by its wellness.
